(aimed at those working in adult learning).

Barriers 3_edited.jpg

Who is this course for?

Teachers, facilitators, curriculum and service managers

and those involved in different areas of learning provision. This training is aimed at all those who wish to make their services as accessible as possible to people experiencing disadvantage.

What will we cover?

This course will challenge the perception of learners experiencing disadvantage as 'hard to reach'. It will create space to explore how we, as learning providers, may be inaccessible to these potential learners and the steps we can take to address this.

The course will support attendees to:

  • Explore the specific learning needs we may meet when working with learners experiencing disadvantage.

  • Identify barriers to learning faced by people experiencing disadvantage.

  • Discuss how services can adjust their provision to overcome barriers.
